Cross River Rail will transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future. It will be a catalyst for 10 years of wider rail transformation across the whole of South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD. It includes the delivery of four new underground stations, two new above-ground stations, accessibility rebuilds for six stations, the construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, and the introduction of a new world-class 'ETCS' signalling system.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work on one of Australia's largest infrastructure projects and to be a part of something that will leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.
About the Role
The Project Planner and Scheduler supports the roll out of the European Train Control System (ETCS) to the Cross River Rail and wider SEQLD rail network which will revolutionise public transport in our state. Working closely with Project Managers from the ETCS Alliance (CRRDA, Queensland Rail & Hitachi) and our Project Controls team you will provide guidance to our alliance partners with regards to the Delivery Authority's planning, scheduling and schedule risk management requirements. You will also be responsible for managing schedule review and reporting functions within the Delivery Authority's Project Controls team.
This opportunity is offered as a fixed term contract until December 2025 and is based out of our offices in Brisbane's CBD.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Collaboratively plan the ETCS project as part of the ETCS Alliance planning team, to develop and maintain the ETCS Integrated Schedule.
- Provide guidance to other ETCS Alliance planners and schedulers on the Delivery Authority's planning and scheduling requirements to ensure timely delivery.
- Use industry standard techniques and tools to develop, resource, maintain and status, ETCS Integrated Schedule in Primavera P6.
- Collaboratively develop and maintain the Delivery Authority's Schedule Risk Assessments / Analysis (SRAs) for the ETCS schedule.
- Support ETCS project management activities with weekly, monthly and quarterly planning and scheduling review and reporting activities.
- Provide key ETCS activity, milestone and schedule risk inputs into the Delivery Authority's Program Controls Office to support ongoing maintenance of the Cross River Rail Integrated Schedule and Program Summary.

**About You**:

- Tertiary education or qualifications in relevant field i.e. Engineering, Project or Construction Management, etc.
- Proven experience collaborative planning and scheduling complex, rail infrastructure or signalling projects with a track record of successfully delivering scheduling outcomes balanced with the expectations of a wide range of project stakeholders.
- Previous experience working in an Alliance project environment or scheduling ETCS or rollingstock systems related projects is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in planning, scheduling and schedule risk analysis within both program and project management environments in Primavera P6.
- Ability to integrate schedule and cost data to perform (Critical Path Method) CPM and Earned Value (EV) analysis.
- Well-developed analytical skills with the ability to analyse and report relevant data, with exposure to business intelligence dashboard tools such as PowerBI or Tableau desirable.
- Demonstrated initiative, problem solving and time management skills to successfully deliver on organisational priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive working relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders within government and industry.
