Our client is seeking a Print Finisher to assist in the completion of jobs. You will be reporting to the Finishing Supervisor & Production Co-ordinator and will be responsible for finishing the production of prints onto various Medias and preparing for delivery and the manufacture of display systems. **_This position requires you to be available from 6am to 6pm for an 8 hour shift and is based in Port Melbourne_**. Key responsibilities include;
- **Packaging and handling;** packing completed jobs for local or interstate journey.
- **Sewing;** thread and operate sewing machine efficiently to create pockets, hem materials and rope edging.
- **Display system manufacture;** manufacture of all the component parts of Reelite & Switch display stands (base, cylinder, poles). Final assembly of display print onto Reelite, Spacelite display stands and all other third party display systems.
- **Finishing;** trimming accurately all prints using the automated trimming table and cutting tools. Update the job status in our WIP software system at each stage. Checking of all prints and display stands before packing.
- **Maintenance & Housekeeping;** maintain equipment, housekeeping and cleaning of Finishing production areas as prescribed.
- **Stock;** assist in the management and control of all Finishing and display systems stock items.
- **Work In Progress system;** up-date and maintain Finishing Work In Progress schedule.

**About you**

Our client is seeking a Print Finisher with a finishing, print or mechanical background who can achieve prescribes targets and strives to exceed customer expectations. We want to take you on board as a casual, once you meet our expectations you may transition into permanent. Selection criteria includes;
- Consistent quality, early and on time completion
- Experience working with machinery and power tools
- Attention to detail and desire for quality.
- A strong work ethic and self-motivation.
- Ability to work without supervision and as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Problem solving and time management skills.
- Ability to learn and to work in a fast paced environment.
- Team orientated
- PC skills and competency preferable.
- It is desirable for you to have; prior experience with large format digital printing, laminating machine, mounting images to substrates and with machines and power tools. _

**Benefits**
