**About Us**

This is an exciting opportunity to work in our State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA). SIRA regulates three statutory insurance schemes in NSW - Workers Compensation, Compulsory Third Party (CTP) and Home Building Compensation and has some regulatory functions in other NSW insurance schemes including the Lifetime Care and Support and Dust Diseases schemes.

This role sits in our Scheme Design Policy team as part of the Scheme Design, Policy and Performance Directorate. The team priorities are to develop, manage and implement a range of policy workers compensation initiatives including those arising out of the icare and State Insurance and Care Governance Act 2015 Independent Review (the McDougall Review).

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Provide policy advice both internally and externally on issues relevant to the NSW workers compensation scheme.
- Undertake research and analysis to inform the policy process and decision making.
- Prepare discussion papers, briefs and correspondence to contribute to the development and delivery of policy initiatives.
- Manage projects and initiatives on issues relevant to workers compensation.
- Consult with external stakeholders to inform and develop policy initiatives.
- Collaborate with workers compensation, personal injury and work health and safety professionals from NSW and other jurisdictions.
- Contribute to the work of the broader workers compensation policy team as needed.
