NSW Treasury is looking for public policy advisors wanting to take their career to the next level.

This position is available within the** Strategy** **Branch** within the Markets and Regulation Division. This Branch supports NSW Treasury and the NSW Productivity Commission by managing a range of policy projects, including stakeholder consultation, to support the delivery of NSW Treasury and Productivity Commission reviews of major government policies and programs to identify economic related policy reforms. Clerk Grade 11/12 (salary range: $139,787 - $161,662; plus superannuation and leave loading).

The Principal Advisor role will provide you with the opportunity to expand your network as you will have the chance to work with multiple teams, agencies, external stakeholders, and organisations to help shape your career.

**Achieve success as a Principal Advisor**

Your typical day-to-day work includes planning and executing policy projects, including monitoring the delivery of project milestones; coordinating stakeholder engagement activities; undertaking research and analysis to inform advice; writing briefs and correspondence; and coordinating the preparation of a range of communications material to support the reviews enfor NSW Treasury and the NSW Productivity Commission.

This role also liaises extensively with other areas within Treasury, with NSW government agencies and equivalents in other jurisdictions across Australia, and with external stakeholders to progress competition and regulatory policy reforms.

You will be successful in this role if you are:

- a critical thinker who can develop high quality advice that delivers results
- an effective communicator who can negotiate and influence policy through stakeholder engagement and research
- able to take initiative and act in a decisive way to deliver outcomes
- can work collaboratively with other teams and agencies to identify opportunities to progress policies and reforms
