ITO opened its doors to the public in October 2023 with an overwhelmingly positive response from the community of Surry Hills, the critics and the loyal fan base of ESCA Group regulars. Ito received a 1 Hat within the first 6 months.

We are now looking to bolster up the team. We are hiring FOH section waiters either causally or full time. If you have a passion for hospitality and find joy in taking care of others we would like to hear from you.

ITO is a modern Japanese Izakaya. In Kanji, Izakaya means 'Stay-Drink-Place' and that's exactly what you can expect at ITO, a comfortable environment to stay with friends, enjoy a cocktail or sake and settle in for some shared plates and world-class service.

By Joining us at ESCA Group you are joining a leading force in the Sydney Hospitality scene, we currently operate Aalia (recent recipient of Best Restaurant in NSW & Holds 2 Hats), Nour (1 Hat), Liliymu, Henrietta Surry Hills, Henrietta Melbourne and of course ITO. There are many more on the horizon as we are expanding rapidly. Room for growth with us is off the charts.
- Have a strong desire to create experiences for guests
- Possess a positive attitude
- Is punctual and well-presented
- Hungry to learn and driven to excel in whatever they do
- Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role
- Hold a valid NSW Competency Card

Strong product knowledge of food and beverages is favourable but not critical however a great attitude toward learning is KEY as we will provide ample opportunities for you to develop and learn.
