Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Operate the AI and analytics teams as a small business, engaging with senior university staff to identify and develop high-impact use cases.
- Innovation and Implementation: Leverage AI and advanced analytics to bring use cases to life, delivering actionable insights that enhance academic and operational excellence.
- Commercial Focus: Ensure AI and analytics initiatives provide significant returns on investment for the university by developing robust frameworks for evaluating and prioritizing projects.
- Project Management: Oversee the delivery of data science models and AI solutions, demonstrating the tangible benefits of these technologies and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Team Development: Build and manage highly skilled teams, developing necessary AI and analytics architectures, and ensuring the end-to-end delivery of projects.
- Change Management: Gather business requirements, manage change effectively, and ensure that AI and analytics solutions are scalable, robust, and aligned with the university's strategic goals.

**About You**
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Extensive experience in AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics, with a strong track record of delivering successful projects from conception to deployment.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement AI and analytics initiatives that deliver significant returns on investment for the university.
- Proven experience in building and managing high performing AI and analytics teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Strong project management skills, with experience in coordinating and tracking resource planning for AI and analytics projects.
- Commitment to staying current with the latest trends and advancements in AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
**Qualifications**
- Postgraduate qualifications Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Professional certifications in AI, data science, or related areas are highly desirable.
