**How will I help?**

We are seeking a highly skilled and technically proficient Intelligence Analyst to join our team. This role demands strong analytical capabilities, technical expertise and effective stakeholder management skills. You will be responsible for supporting the intelligence function within Fraud and Financial Crime Insights through identification of trends, and collection and analysis of data.

This role partners closely with internal stakeholders including the wider Fraud and Financial Crime Insights business unit, Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), Fraud and Scam Operations (FSO), Transactional Monitoring, Digital Security and Forensics and Information and Security Governance (ISG). The team also seconds into JPC3 (Joint Policing Cybercrime Coordination Centre), a function within the AFP.

The role is ultimately responsible for providing deep insights into all matters concerning Fraud Intelligence to report current risk position and inform ongoing decisions and strategic direction.

**Key focuses of the role include**:
Effective collection of data points for complex analysis
Identification of opportunities for improvement in detection and analysis processes within FCFP and beyond
Identification of trends in financial crime and fraud that can be utilised by multiple teams to produce better outcomes
Understanding of the broader workflow within FCFP and identification of areas and gaps where intelligence support can add value through feedback loops.
Proactive engagement of stakeholders to pass on insights.

**What do I need?**

Highly developed analytical skills across data/ trend analysis.
Proficiency in SQL is preferred.
Excellent proficiency in translating and analysing data.
Advanced Excel skills.
Strong writing skills.
Excellent stakeholder management skills.
Deep understanding of financial crime and fraud trends.
