Medical Receptionist

Our practice is looking for a friendly and motivated experienced Medical Receptionist to join our busy team. We are currently offering approximately 1-2 days per week Monday to Friday between 7.30am (open) and 6.00pm(close) and Thursdays until 8.00pm. Hours can increase as required to cover other receptionists absence and holidays with the opportunity for further hours in the future for the right applicant. Availabilty to work on a rotating Saturday roster 1 in 3 / 4 (penality rates applied) is an advantage. We are closed all public holidays.
- Excellent communication skills, telephone & interpersonal
- Professional approach to work, honest, reliable and punctual (a must).
- Flexible with working hours.
- Ability to learn new tasks
.Good level of computer experience
.Calm and empathetic manner
.Must have experience using Best Practice software, or similar software program.
**. You will be responsible for**:
- Greeting Patients
.Managing appointments
.Managing and Triaging the waiting room
.Processing Medicare, DVA, and Workcover claims and payments
.Billing of appointments
.Managing corrrespondence incoming and outgoing
.Liasing closely with the Practice Manager, doctors, staff to ensure the smooth day to day
running of the practice.
.Assist with the administration operations of the practice
**Experience**
**1 years experience preferred but not essential to the right applicant**
.Working as part of a team of dynamic Health professionals
.Demonstratable experience with Best Practice or Similar, medicare, Workcover, DVA is advantageous to be considered for the role.

Expected hours: 8 - 15 per week

- Medical admin: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (required)
