Are you a skilled Mechanical Fitter with a passion for tackling challenging projects in the flow control industry? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you Reporting to the Service Technician Lead, this role is predominantly workshop based, however, will see you travel to coal sites for on site responsibilities.

**Description**

As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in the repair and maintenance of valves, actuators, and other flow control equipment. Your responsibilities will include:
**Valve Servicing & Repairs**:

- Diagnose faults and repair pneumatic and electro-pneumatic valve control systems.
- Test SRV Manual and Control/Automated valves and pump equipment in the workshop.
- Carry out small design and fabrication work.
- Maintain a solid understanding of maintenance procedures for mechanical and automated valving.
- Demonstrate a safe and methodical work attitude in workshop practices.

**Improvement Focus**:

- Make recommendations for cost reduction initiatives and technology improvements.
- Regularly review processes and suggest improvements.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with colleagues.

**Other**:

- Willingness to work on customer in-field equipment fly-in and fly-out as required.
- Exceptional customer interaction skills while working on-site with process equipment.
- Ability to work away from home for short periods.
- Communicate clearly about issues and problems found with individual jobs.
- Report times and work as per the quality systems.

**Profile**

- Hold full (unrestricted) working rights in Australia
- Mine induction (Glencore, BHP, Peabody) and experience.
- Trade Certificate in Mechanical fitting.
- Forklift HRW ticket.
- HRW Dog-man ticket.
- First Aid Certificate.
- Driver's license.
- Qualified with extensive experience as a Mechanical Fitter.
- Understanding of flow control and process control.
- Ability to provide solutions to customer problems.
- Honest and trustworthy.
- Attention to detail.
- Results-oriented.
