Bar Supervisor

A Supervisor's role is to ensure that Marble and Zeta Bar are run in accordance with Hilton Sydney's objectives and meets all financial and proposed goals in an efficient and controlled manner with a strong emphasis on brand standards, outlet profitability, payroll cost controls, training and leadership of the team.

**What will I be doing?**

**Customer**
- To ensure that you and the team and constantly delivering an exceptional level of service, anticipating needs and engaging with the guest.
- To deal with any on shift issues in a professional and efficient manner and report to manager.

**Operational**
- To help maintain the presentation and cleanliness of each Bar, and ensure that team members are continually partaking in given duties and productivity is maximised.
- To be accountable and monitor levels of glassware and bar accessories and ensure that the bar area is in complete working order and a stock take of bar equipment is completed on a weekly basis.

**People Management**
- Ensure a safe, fun and suitable work environment is maintained.
- To actively enforce RSA rules.
- To ensure all necessary bar related administration is carried out.
- To aid in recruitment and training.

**Training**
- To attend Hilton training courses or participate in online learning.
- To aid in the training and buddy system of new employees in accordance with Bar training schedules and help maintain a high level of company and product knowledge.
- Attend alcohol training sessions when needed to help increase knowledge and development of all Bar team members.
- To develop and/or update Bar specific training manual for the purpose of maintaining standards service, procedures and product knowledge.
- To create/distribute bar tests to develop knowledge of bartenders e. g. free pouring tests
- Create and implement a training plan each month to improve service standards of staff and improve product knowledge.
- To follow up attendance to regular training sessions

**Profit**
- To help maintain the profitability of bar operations and ensure that you are analysing all margins and cost prices.

**What are we looking for?**
- Valid NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate/card and must also maintain the card's currency
- Previous work experience within Hospitality or Customer Service based is desirable
- Friendly, positive, energetic disposition
- Excellent Communication and Grooming Skills
- Motivated to learn new skills and techniques
- Passionate, innovative, exciting initiatives delivered with consistency and excellent attention to detail
- To be an outstanding coach, mentor and leader, committed to personal development.
- Ability to contribute ideas and suggestions to enhance operational/environmental procedures in the Hotel.
