**The Role**
The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

- Coordinate regular strategy and planning meetings with Defence S&T stakeholders to maintain understanding of needs and priorities.
- Coordinate regular DSSC meetings to maintain strategic responses to researcher needs and priorities that are reflected in roadmaps.
- Assist and shape governance fora - SRUG, KIMMUG.
- Operate DSSC plan and roadmap governance, including tracking and reporting on progress and achievements.
- As a member of the DSSC project board, advise on the impacts on strategic plans and roadmaps of changes to digital science projects.
- Lead the impact assessment and options planning for changes to strategic plans and roadmaps arising from digital science project changes.
- Coordinate the DSSC process to draft annual updates to Defence S&T digital science strategy and plan.
- Prepare briefing papers as required.
- Work with RSD PMO on methodology and reporting to SEID.
- Lead the research software and digital science hardware procurement assurance and support the exercise of CRS' ICT procurement delegation.
- Lead the preparation of divisional procurement reports for DSE to take to divisional stakeholders.
- Lead the continual process review and refinement of digital science procurement and the mechanisms by which DST meets its ICT delegate responsibilities under FINMAN2.

**About Our Team**
Digital Science Futures is responsible for establishing and maintaining Research Architecture and Design Capabilities, aligning DST Architecture with the FPR and One Defence principles, deliver FSRA Architecture stack for target architecture - using both bottom-up and top-down development approaches using TOGAF, DODAF and CAUDIT.

The directorate supports and monitors development of Agile Research Environment for implementation to deliver science focused Research Services, assessing technology trends and maintain target architecture currency as technology evolves, developing roadmaps comprised of projects showing an outline of how to deliver the target architecture.
