About the opportunity

This position will help to deliver high quality communications to key stakeholders across the supply chain of Australia's red meat industry. The role will cover a broad range of topics, with a focus on the work of Integrity Systems Company.

**Your duties will include, but not be limited to**:
Write and curate reader-centric, high-quality and engaging content for communications channels, including print, digital and media;
Provide expert communications advice and input, including in the development of communications and media campaigns, plans and collateral;
Identify strategic opportunities to add value to key audience groups and develop targeted communications to address these;
Interview, write and self-edit high-quality and engaging copy for communications channels, as per writer's briefs. Content may consist of case studies, media releases, technical articles, advertisements, handbooks, e-newsletter articles, website articles, speeches and presentations;
Project manage the development of campaign collateral, publications and e-newsletters, working with internal and external specialists, as required;
Build a good understanding of media news cycles and key media contacts in the print, electronic and digital areas for both rural and metropolitan media outlets; and

Maintain a close understanding of key stakeholders through existing research, analytics and attending events.

About the Person

**To be successful in this role, you will have**:
Excellent communication skills, including highly developed writing, editing and content proofing skills;
Ability to translate technical information into plain English;
Excellent project management skills to ensure communications are delivered to deadline and are of the highest standard;
Works well in a team and welcomes constructive feedback to continually improve work;
Ideally has a strong understanding of Australia's red meat industry, its operations and major stakeholders.

Tertiary qualifications in communications or related discipline;
