What does the job look like?

As the Accounts Payable Manager (on a full time contract), you will play a pivotal role in the Cost function of P2S (Procure to Supplier) within the Shared Services team. You will manage the Accounts Payable team for Linfox Logistics, Armaguard, Property Group, & all other associated areas ensuring that accounts payable cost related items across the group are closed out timely, whether it is payments or timely closing of costs for accounting purposes.

You will also support the GM Shared Services by driving change and technology to further add value to Linfox, Armaguard & Group supported business units. Be a key partner with ADIT and the Expenses Management function in the rolling out of Concur (Expense Management Platform) including assisting in the building, testing and implementation. Key areas:

- Ensure timely payments of subcontractors, G&S vendors and all other vendors as required.
- Maintain policies and procedures on cost management, assisting in the expenses policies and work closely with security to monitor fraudulent activity.
- Manage all reporting requirements, ATO submissions relating to PTRS, GST and for weekly and monthly reporting on cost AP activity in the business.
- Setting stretch targets for the team to optimise queries and automate processes across the board as well as KPI’s for the team on processing AP invoices.
- Be a key business partner in the rolling out of SAP Concur.
- Reduce the ageing supplier transactions and recommend monthly or fortnightly GRIR write backs.
- Educate business on correct processes and minimise GST leakage to Linfox.
- Training staff members on new processes and practices and ensuring best in class AP team with ongoing development of staff.

You are comfortable with managing performance, driving teams to achieve best outcomes and you are a leader that can think outside the box and identify areas within the function that require improvement and automation. You can demonstrate:

- Proven experience in a similar role managing high performing teams in an AP function for a large corporate
- Experience in Business-to-Business AP & P2P
- Understanding of the end to end Procure to payment cycle and of Accounting, Payables and risk Procurement practices
- Solid understanding of SAP Concur
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and SAP or a similar system such as Oracle
- Degree Qualification in a business-related discipline is desirable
