Rare opportunity to join ACMI as our Curator, Film & TV (full time, ongoing role). Reporting to the Head of Film Programs the Curator, Film & TV, selects and produces ACMI's screening programs and events to deliver on ACMI's commercial and cultural imperatives whilst responding to the wider film industry. You'll produce audience centred programming for a premium cinema experience onsite and online plus support and collaborate with ACMI's brilliant festival partners and build an enthusiastic audience across the general public, cinephiles and the industry. Best of all you'll work with the passionate team at ACMI who love Film and TV as much as you do.
Our ideal team member will have strong experience in all aspects of screen culture, film distribution and film exhibition sectors in both mainstream and independent arenas. You'll have a broad and up-to-date knowledge of the local and international film festival and TV streaming environments. A strong researcher and networker you'll have wide-ranging active working relationships with international sales agents, local distributors, filmmakers and associated fields. An experienced Curator you'll enjoy collaborating with stakeholders to deliver memorable programs for diverse audiences. Your passion for innovative Film & TV programming can be seen in your work to date and is something you're committed to continuing with ACMI.
If successful you can expect to become part of a talented, committed and creative team of people with a passion for screen culture, technology and media, cultural diversity, and inspiring new forms of creativity in our communities. This Grade 4 role is offered on an ongoing full time basis with a starting salary of $91,418 plus super. You'll work a mix of WFH and from Federation Square.
