**About the role**:
Reporting to the Senior HRBP - Rod and Bar Manufacturing, we currently have an opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join our team based at Rooty Hill, with requirement to travel to Newcastle per role requirement.

You will be required to:

- Foster strong relationships and deliver HR support and advise across the business;
- Provide operational HR support and guidance to leaders and employees;
- Provide support and answer queries from the business related to HR policies;
- Support managers and the recruitment team to recruit, retain & onboard talent within the Infrabuild guidelines and DOA.
- Coordinate and manage the resolution of workplace issues, ensuring appropriate consultation and communication with appropriate parties
- Build and foster positive working relationships with unions
- Participate in Consultative meetings & Enterprise agreement negotiations
- Provide support and participate in projects and HR business deliverables.
- Provide advice on Enterprise Agreement contents.
- Create and deliver monthly reporting packages for Leadership team.
- Participate in and provide guidance around performance management issues.
- Interact with broader HR team as required.
- Assist with maintaining employee records.

**About your experience**:
Ideally, a tertiary qualification in HRM or relevant with a minimum 5 years of experience gained as a HR Generalist and Industrial Relations experience. You are resilient, a self-starter and a result orientated individual.
- Exposure to a blue-collar environment (essential)
- Experience interpreting Enterprise Agreements (desirable)
- Manufacturing or similar heavy industry exposure would be advantageous
- HR experience in a unionised environment, desirable
- Effective change management skills and a ‘hands on’ practical approach to HR
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence and work with a variety of stakeholders.
- Solid communication (written & oral) skills & Computer literate, MS Office skills

**InfraBuild’s Steel Manufacturing** business unit operates world-class state-of-the-art Steelmaking facilities in Sydney, Newcastle & Melbourne. Operating two electric arc furnaces and four rod and bar rolling mills we use local materials to produce high quality steel products.
