We are working with a global bank to find a Red Hat Linux Systems Engineer. You will be working within a large team in a secure and scalable hybrid IT environment. This is a BAU position supporting Red Hat Infrastructure & Cloud Operations during a critical transformation period.

Role Overview
  • Manage, administer, maintain and optimize RHEL systems
  • Support Azure cloud infrastructure, and automate tasks using Python (preferred) or Bash
  • Work alongside infrastructure and DevOps teams to ensure system reliability, security, and performance
  • Support and manage Azure-based infrastructure, including VMs, networking, and storage
  • Apply security patches, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams on deployments and infrastructure changes
  • Document system configurations and operational procedures
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Red Hat Linux administration
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure infrastructure
  • Understanding of monitoring tools
  • Automation experience with Ansible would be a bonus
  • Ideally certified with Red Hat (RCHE, RHCSA)

This position is paying $100-$110k + super depending on experience, has a hybrid arrangement (3 days from home) and their office is based in Sydney CBD.
