John Hunter Hospital offers Enrolled Nursing opportunities across Medical and Interventional Services and Surgical Services, with both full-time and part-time roles. These positions provide stability, long-term career potential, and a supportive environment with diverse career pathways and opportunities to specialise in acute and specialised units. The hospital focuses on professional growth, offering education, training, and specialised certifications tailored to your needs.

Medical And Interventional Services

• E1 General Medicine: Care for patients with diverse acute and chronic medical conditions, in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Medical Assessment Coordination Unit (MACU): Rapid assessment, diagnosis, and stabilisation of patients with acute medical conditions.
• F2 Respiratory: Respiratory, Immunology, Infectious Disease, Rheumatology, and Dermatology with hands-on experience in high-flow oxygen administration and non-invasive ventilation.
• G3 Cardiology and Gastroenterology: Cardiology and gastroenterology exposure with training in cardiac monitoring and minor procedures.
• Rankin Park North and South: Rehabilitation units focusing on neurological recovery and post-amputation/deconditioning care.

Surgical Services

• E2 Urology: Urology, ophthalmology, and cases in orthopaedics, general surgery, neurosurgery, and gynaecology.
• E3 Elective Orthopaedics: Pre- and post-operative orthopaedic care, Trauma, General/Acute Surgery, and Vascular care.
• G2 Neurology & Neurosurgery: Neurological care and neurosurgical procedures, pre- and post-operative care.
• J3 General Surgery: Surgical procedures including colorectal and upper GI, with pre/post-operative support.
• G1S Trauma/Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT): Trauma care and post-surgical recovery with complex patient needs.
• F3 Cardiovascular and Vascular Surgery: Cardiac, vascular care with pre/post-operative support.
