About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to oversee the food and beverage service for conferences, meetings, and special events. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of food and beverage staff, coordinating with event planners and clients, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Supervise and motivate a team of food and beverage staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences and ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordinate with event planners and clients to understand and meet their specific requirements.
  • Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of food and beverage service for various events.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety.
  • Manage inventory, place orders, and control costs to meet budgetary goals.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and quality food preparation.
  • Monitor and maintain the quality of food and beverage service throughout events.
  • Prepare reports on event operations, staff performance, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience in food and beverage supervision or management, preferably in a conference or events setting.
  • Awareness of food safety practices.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate.
  • Food Handler certificate.
  • Micros knowledge desirable.
  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred).
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Proficiency in event planning and coordination.
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service techniques and standards.
  • Experience with inventory management and cost control.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the food service industry.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
