Fulltime continuing position

The Division of Research and Innovation provides leadership in achieving the University's strategic goals, particularly in relation to research strategy, researcher education, services, infrastructure and supporting the development of world-class research and impact, both nationally and internationally. Supporting an ethos of excellence, innovation, engagement and impact, the Division is responsible for achieving the research objectives set out in the University Strategic Plan.

Working under general direction the Research Funding Support Officer provides a range of administrative support services to the units within Research Services with a particular focus on research related reporting, systems and data collections. In this role, you will manage accurate data entry using specialist software, ensuring data integrity through regular quality checks. You will coordinate logistics for meetings, training sessions, and events, including room bookings, catering, travel arrangements, and IT/AV requirements. The position also involves drafting and editing agendas, memos, and reports, as well as interpreting and analysing data to produce standard reports. Additionally, you will contribute to the development, documentation, and implementation of procedures within Research Services while maintaining high standards of compliance and data quality across all research administration processes.

To be successful you will need:

  • Completion of a diploma level qualification with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
  • Demonstrated experience with data entry and use of databases.
  • Some understanding of the organisation of research and of related structures and processes in a research-oriented University pertaining to research grants (desirable).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
