We are Helen Walker Occupational Therapy (HWOT), a small and friendly mobile disability services provider operating in South Brisbane and Redland City areas. We provide OT and Social Work services to clients from newborn through to retirement and beyond, with a diverse range of backgrounds, disabilities, trauma experiences and health conditions.

We focus on creating a safe space for our clients, families and their networks to feel seen, validated, valued and supported; creating a place where everyone belongs. The absolute same is said for our team and culture and for each and every one of our team members.

About you:

You're a compassionate and driven Occupational Therapist with a minimum 1 years' experience.You thrive onempoweringandengagingwith clients and their families to grow within themselves and their environments, fostering real relationships, forging genuine connections and delivering care to meet your clients where they are at.

You enjoy variety in your day, working across diverse caseloads (personalised to your preferences) and environments, and you're confident managing your time effectively. You value collaboration, but you're also self-motivated and capable of working independently while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and quality of care. You're looking for a role where you can work autonomously but also have team connections, deep career development and full, responsive support available.

You're skilled (or learning skills) in conducting assessments, developing personalised therapy plans, and have a keen interest in a mix of delivering assessments/reports and ongoing capacity building/rehabilitation interventions. Most importantly, you're able to collaborate and work with full care teams and other providers involved in your clients' care, to optimise the best possible outcomes.

Position Summary:

This role is community/mobile based, working from home with regular team connections and training.

Early career (1 years' experience) to Senior opportunities available. Full-time, part-time and contractor options considered.

As an Occupational Therapist at HWOT you are responsible for providing Occupational Therapy services and other developmental or learning needs to clients, families and care teams. This role provides assessment, reporting and specific intervention strategies that produce outcomes in support of the clients' participation in their learning, social, home and community environments.

YOUR caseload is co-moulded YOUR way - choose from Paediatrics, Adults, Mental health/Psychosocial supports, different disability populations and/or Rehabilitation. Deliver a tailored mix of assessment, reporting and direct therapy in line with your preferences.

Actively reach out and connect with clients' other providers to work collaboratively to support clients.

Contribute to team learning and development.

Supervise or mentor Junior staff (in line with your experience and with the right support).

Maintain, build and nurture relationships with local organisations and referral partners.

Engage in HWOT external organisational training and consulting services (in line with your experience), including opportunities to provide professional development to Kindies, support work providers and disability or childcare organisations.

Contribute to growth and business development: supporting continuous improvement in the quality of service delivery, client and staff experiences and business performance.   • Preferred experience working within any of the following systems: NDIS, NIISQ, Medicare (not essential)
  • Specific skills in one or more of the following areas: early childhood and paediatric therapy, intellectual impairment, neurology, physical rehabilitation, mental health/psychosocial practice, sensory processing, emotional regulation, fine motor development and motor planning skills
  • Experience in clinical supervision, training and mentoring
  • Experience delivering organisational training and consulting services
  • Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience
  • Tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Current Drivers License and own transport
  • Combined Disability Worker screening and Blue card
