Environmental Services – Team Leader

Your new full-time role is based hospital wide and will provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your outstanding skill-set as a Domestic Service provider and as a Team Leader. You will lead by example with attention to detail, manage multiple tasks and empower your team to strive for an exceptional performance.

You are someone who thrives in a busy environment. Your new role will include but is not limited to:

  • Facilitation of effective teamwork within Environmental Services.
  • Ability to act as a role model to other staff while providing your own exceptional housekeeping skill-set within the hospital.
  • Support the Facility Manager in all appropriate activities and demonstrate effective communication strategies, including the facilitation of team meetings, training of domestic services staff and rostering of department.
  • Ensure the compulsory compliance of Health & Safety procedures and Infection Control within the facility.

About You

To ensure you have the ability to perform this role, you will have:

  • Minimum 2 years experience as a Domestic Services Officer in a hospital, or in a Housekeeping Team Leader role.
  • Exceptional collaborative interpersonal, leadership and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver optimal patient centered care.
  • Evidence of implementing National Standards and policies.
  • Evidence of procuring and managing resources within a Domestic Services role.
  • Proficient computer skills and experience with computerised reporting systems.
  • Commitment to Professional Development and a structured learning program.
  • Exceptional knowledge and application of customer service principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of infection control principles and chemical safety standards.
  • You may also be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience in a hospital setting, within the private sector.
  • Qualifications in Health Management or Equivalent.
