Essential Criteria

• An understanding of and commitment to the ideals of Catholic Education
• Demonstrated expertise as a classroom practitioner
• Demonstrated expertise as a specialist music teacher
• Appropriate qualifications
• Ability to align practice with a whole-school Positive Behaviour for Learning model
• Mix of pedagogical, content and technological knowledge
• Inclusive, learner-centred pedagogy understanding
• Team player with positive contribution to staff professional culture
• Willingness to participate in staff professional development
• Willingness to contribute to the KLA team and curriculum understanding
• Willingness to take on co-curricular activities (bands, ensembles, choirs, concerts)
• Capacity to teach Religious Education (RE) an advantage
• Working with Children registration and Teaching Accreditation
• Completed relevant Education/Teaching tertiary qualification
• Ability to meet Work, Teach and Lead Policy requirements for RE teaching
