We also deliver health assessments on behalf of the Australian Government via Bupa Medical Visa Services for people applying to live, work or study in Australia.

We are growing our network of Visa Medical Assessment Centres to deliver a Bupa experience for visa applicants in the communities where they live. This has created a range of frontline and leadership roles in new purpose-built medical centres and opportunities to grow your career with a global health care brand where our customers are at the heart of everything we do.

About the role:

Our Receptionists are the first point of contact for customers in our Visa Medical Assessment Centres and provide information and instructions to guide customers through the medical assessment process, ensuring they understand what they need to do and why.

Responsibilities
  • The role includes weekend work during peak season.
  • Medical centre hours are 8am–6pm Monday to Friday, and 8am–4:30pm Saturday & Sunday, with hours on a rotating roster.
  • 1–2 shifts available per week, with additional shifts to cover sick and holiday leave.
  • Greet customers and address questions and concerns with a customer-focused, respectful, caring and professional approach.
  • Adhere to established processes to assist customers through the assessment process, including:
    • Conducting an identity and security check and escalating any identified risks
    • Processing payments via EFTPOS
    • Confirming customer documentation is complete and processing forms
    • Confirming which examinations the customer is required to complete and explaining this to the customer
    • Entering required data into customer management systems and databases
    • Explaining the steps of the visa medical examination and ensuring understanding of the key elements
    About You

Our receptionists come from a wide variety of backgrounds and work experiences. To be successful in the role, you'll need:

  • Previous administration and customer-facing experience; this is not your average receptionist position.
  • Demonstrated customer focus and a professional, service-oriented approach
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver accurate outcomes in a busy environment
  • Well-developed communication skills to engage with a wide range of customers and staff, including people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • Sound IT and computer skills
  • Ability to work within a highly structured, procedure-driven environment and adhere to established processes and quality standards
