About The Opportunity

We are seeking a reliable Catering Assistant to join our aged care team in Penrith on a casual basis. This flexible role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety and is available to assist across different shifts as required.

Job Description

The Role:

Cater Care seeks to appoint a Catering Assistant at one of our key aged care residences in Penrith

Role

What This Role Involves:
  • Assisting with food preparation
  • Customer service - serving our residents meals and snacks
  • Re-stocking as required, and after meal periods
  • Dishwashing and cleaning kitchen & dining areas
  • Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices
  • Fast, effective service throughout busy periods - with a good attitude
  • Prepare and present texture modified foods

Desired Skills And Experience

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience assisting in kitchens, food preparation and/or customer service
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
  • Previous experience in aged care (preferred but not essential)
