GemLife is currently seeking a Telehandler Plant Operator to join our Civil construction crew at our Moreton Bay site

There's plenty of work ahead – we expect years of ongoing civil work at this site alone, with many more sites scheduled to begin this year. Whilst initially a casual role, this could lead to a permanent position with us.

Who and what are we looking for?

Gemlife Civil division are presently looking for an experienced Telehandler Labourer Operator for our Moreton Bay project. Initially a casual role but could be permanent in the future if you are a committed and hardworking team player.

If you have previous experience in the civil construction industry, enjoy the combination of labouring and operating well maintained equipment – we need to talk.

We are seeking a skilled operator who is experienced and holds the relevant licenses. You are also happy to jump off the plant and be a labourer when required.

You enjoy being part of a great crew, working in the Civil Construction team. You are a person who enjoys the mix of plant operating and labouring. You are fit and physically strong and want to get the work done in a really good cultural environment. The following plant are what's required in order of preference, Telehandler being the most sought after If you happen to have Loader or Water Cart with an HR License, even better but not essential

  • Telehandler
  • Loader
  • Water cart
  • HR license

You have experience in labouring and your tickets/licences for the above plant.

About You

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Be licenced and able to operate the above equipment
  • Be reliable and trustworthy with the ability to work with little supervision and be able to work as part of a team
  • Strong safety initiative
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be reliable and dedicated to the role
  • General knowledge of the construction industry and environmental principles and relevant legislation/standards.
  • Current Driver's Licence
  • Construction Industry Card (White Card)
