Softobiz is a global technology partner specializing in digital transformation, custom software engineering, and data-driven innovation. We work with leading brands across industries like retail, logistics, eCommerce, and automotive, including Hungry Jack's, Pickles Auctions, and Blackwoods.

To drive our growth and deepen client partnerships in Australia, we are hiring a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Australia who will act as both a technology leader and a strategic advisor to enterprise clients.

Role Overview

As the CTO for Australia, you will be the face of Softobiz's technology capability in the region. You will work closely with the sales team to shape and present innovative technology solutions to enterprise customers. The role combines pre-sales leadership, technical solutioning, and strategic client advisory, helping us win key accounts and drive long-term value for clients.

You will also influence Softobiz's broader go-to-market strategy in Australia, working with senior leadership to align offerings with evolving market demands.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Technology Leadership & Client Advisory
    • Act as the senior-most technology advisor for enterprise clients in Australia.
    • Lead executive-level discussions, offering technology roadmaps and insights into cutting-edge innovations (AI/ML, Cloud, Automation, Digital Platforms).
    • Guide clients through their digital transformation journeys, aligning Softobiz's solutions to their business goals.
  2. Thought Leadership & Market Influence
    • Establish Softobiz as a thought leader by producing and promoting white papers, industry blogs, and technical webinars.
    • Represent Softobiz at conferences, panels, and industry forums to build brand visibility and credibility.
    • Drive internal and external conversations around emerging technology trends, innovation frameworks, and enterprise IT best practices.
  3. Solution Strategy & Pre-Sales Leadership
    • Architect and present bespoke digital solutions tailored to client needs across cloud, data, enterprise applications, and automation.
    • Support the sales team with technical pre-sales leadership, influencing deal strategy and pipeline success.
    • Lead technical workshops, solution demos, and PoCs that move deals toward closure.
  4. Market Development & Business Growth
    • Act as a strategic partner to the business team, shaping the go-to-market strategy for Australia.
    • Contribute to account development and build trusted executive relationships with key customers.
    • Serve as the bridge between Sales, Delivery, and Clients to ensure successful solution delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles (CTO, Solutions Architect, Pre-Sales Director, or similar) within the IT services or consulting space.
  • Strong background in cloud (AWS/Azure), custom enterprise software, automation, and emerging technologies (AI/ML, Data, DevOps).
  • Proven experience working directly with C-suite stakeholders and influencing technology decision-making at an enterprise level.
  • Consultative selling skills combined with a deep technical understanding of digital transformation solutions.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian enterprise market and client landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presence.
