Overview

Location: Sydney, NSW. Type: Full-time, 35 hours per week. This is a 12-month temporary opportunity with presence in the office required 3–4 days per week. The CSO is relocating to a new premises in July 2026.

Classification grade: Clerk Grade 9/10. Salary: $129,464 – $142,665 p.a. (excluding employer's superannuation contribution and annualised leave loading).

Closing date: Tuesday, 23 September 2025 (AEST 7:59 PM).

About The Role

The Finance Business Partner plays a pivotal role in supporting the CSO's strategic and operational objectives by delivering budgeting and financial analysis. The role helps the CSO meet budget targets, ensures compliance with internal policies, legislative obligations and external regulatory requirements, and drives continuous improvement in financial processes. It provides high-quality business insights and management accounting expertise to inform decision‑making and collaborates closely with the Executive Leadership Team to deliver commercial value through analysis and strategic support.

About You

To succeed, you will have relevant commercial experience in large, complex organisations and a strong customer focus. You will build strong, collaborative partnerships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial results. You will contribute to maintaining robust governance and fit-for-purpose policies and processes.

Essential Requirements
  • CA/CPA qualified with current professional membership
  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Finance or Economics and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
  • 3+ years' experience in a commercial and/or professional services environment
