ActivateUTS is a non-profit organisation dedicated to giving students a richer campus experience at UTS. We support over 180 student clubs and societies and manage a range of campus facilities, including bars, cafés, a fitness centre, retail, and student-led events. Located in UTS Building 10, the Aerial Function Centre is a premium events venue that hosts corporate functions, conferences, and celebrations.

About the Role

We are seeking a Group Events & Sales Coordinator to join our Aerial commercial events team on a 6-month fixed-term contract, with a view to permanency.

As the first point of contact for event and catering enquiries, you'll play a key role in coordinating bookings, managing client communications, and supporting the seamless delivery of memorable events.

Working closely with the Group Events & Sales Manager, you'll also assist with sales administration, reporting, and maintaining accurate booking systems to help achieve sales goals and deliver an exceptional client experience.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
  • Act as the first point of contact for event and catering enquiries, coordinating bookings and client communications.
  • Support the delivery of events to ensure a memorable client experience.
  • Assist with sales administration, reporting, and maintain accurate booking systems.
  • Collaborate with the Group Events & Sales Manager and other teams to meet sales goals.
About You / Qualifications
  • At least 2 years' experience in events coordination, hospitality, or administration.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills with a sharp eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence working with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (EventPro experience highly regarded).
  • RSA certification.
  • (Desirable) A qualification in Event Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
