Our Integrated Transport & Mobility team in Perth seeks a Principal Transport Planner to provide consultancy services in the Transport Planning market in Western Australia and across the ANZ region, with a focus on leading the growth of the Perth office.

What you'll do
  • Lead project delivery and project management for transport planning and assessment projects; provide technical guidance on large strategic consulting and design projects to deliver excellent transport outcomes and consultancy services.
  • Drive business development, identify opportunities, and support the winning of projects; participate in regular industry activities to develop and maintain strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor to Jacobs' key clients.
  • Support management of the Integrated Transport & Mobility team, including team development, growth, and building technical capability in transport planning.
  • Mentor and develop junior resources, promote knowledge sharing in a team environment, and foster cross-geography relationships to maximise benefits of global delivery.
Qualifications
  • Effective communication, commercial awareness, business development skills, and ability to prepare proposals and work with clients.
  • Working knowledge of the local environment and the Western Australian transport sector.
  • Knowledge and application of transport planning concepts and tasks.
  • Understanding of the interfaces between transport planning, traffic engineering, transport modelling, and infrastructure design.
  • Experience in project management of studies, assessments, and other technical activities in a commercial environment.
