We are building the foundational, trusted AI platform for the nation\'s most important work.
The Opportunity
As our first marketing hire, you are not just joining our growth story—you will be one of its principal authors. You will have the autonomy and ownership to design, build, and scale the entire marketing function from the ground up.
In close partnership with the founders, you will shape our brand, define our market position, and translate an ambitious vision into the go-to-market strategy that makes Tailor the definitive leader in this area.
This is a hands-on role for a skilled marketer ready to make a significant impact. You will begin as our foundational expert, and as the company succeeds, you will have the opportunity to build a team and grow into a senior leadership position.
Your Mandate Will Involve:
- Co-Architecting the GTM Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market plan. This includes defining our brand identity, core messaging, and ideal customer profile from first principles.
- Building the Demand Engine: Construct our entire demand generation function from scratch. Launch and optimise targeted B2B campaigns (e.g., ABM, executive events, strategic content, digital) to build our initial enterprise sales pipeline.
- Crafting Our Narrative: Become the primary storyteller for Tailor. Develop a compelling narrative and create high-impact content (executive-level whitepapers, case studies, sales enablement collateral) that resonates with leaders in highly regulated industries.
- Owning the Funnel: Implement the foundational marketing tech stack and analytics framework. You will establish a data-driven culture, defining the metrics that matter and ensuring we measure and learn from day one.
- Establishing Our Brand: Position Tailor as the authoritative thought leader in Sovereign AI. You will be instrumental in building our brand from the ground up, establishing its presence and cultivating a powerful network of industry advocates.
What Success Looks Like in 12 Months:
You will have built the foundational marketing engine for Tailor. Our brand and narrative, which you helped create, will be sharp and resonating with our target market. A predictable, qualified pipeline will be fuelling our growth, and we will have a data-backed playbook that clearly identifies the channels and messages that will drive our scale-up phase.
We're Looking for Someone Who:
- Has 7+ years of demonstrated success in B2B marketing for enterprise software or complex SaaS.
- Possesses a true "founder\'s mentality"—thriving on autonomy, ownership, and the pace of an early-stage venture.
- Is a genuine player-coach: able to architect a high-level strategy and then execute the details with precision.
- Excels at translating deeply technical concepts into compelling, C-level value propositions.
- Is data-obsessed, using analytics not just for reporting, but for uncovering strategic insights.
- Is ambitious, deeply passionate about the potential of AI, and energised by the challenge of building a category-defining Australian technology company.
Location & The Offer
This is a part-time role based at our headquarters in Brisbane. We are building our foundational culture through in-person collaboration. As a cornerstone of our team, this role includes a competitive salary and reward tied to meeting growth targets.
