The everyday essentials that keep an accounting firm operational include:

  1. File setup for new and existing clients
  2. Transferring important firm and client information from paper to electronic files
  3. Correspondence with government and regulatory bodies such as the ATO, ASIC, and OSR regarding client matters

Involved in client work:

  1. Assist senior staff in preparing client financial statements and income tax returns
  2. Preparation of quarterly and monthly Activity Statements
  3. Assist with preparing client bills
  4. Complete and submit ASIC forms and records for client companies
  5. Manage client correspondence

Meeting and greeting clients and contacts:

  1. Conduct face-to-face meetings to discuss clients' businesses and investments
  2. Draft business plans and advise on commercial aspects of clients' businesses
  3. Provide advisory work such as structuring, leading to valuations and financing
About you

Qualifications:

  • Completed or currently completing a Business-related Degree majoring in Accounting
  • Intelligence and enthusiasm
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Attention to detail and a desire to learn
  • Interpersonal communication skills
