The organisation is seeking a Disability Support Worker who lives in and around the Wollongong area to support a 42 year-old man with a traumatic brain injury to remain living independently within his home. While your skills, qualifications and experience tell part of your story, your values, attitude, and cultural alignment with Southern Cross are essential. Responsibilities
  • Assistance with personal care tasks
  • Assistance with therapy tasks
  • Medication administration
  • Use of mobility equipment
  • Light domestic assistance
  • Meal preparation
  • Community participation

You will be supported by qualified healthcare professionals and would receive the necessary training and skills to do the best job you can.

What you need
  • Current references
  • Mobile phone
  • Current driver's license and your own car
  • NDIS workers screening check or willing to obtain (mandatory)
  • First Aid certificate or willing to obtain (mandatory)
  • Passionate about caring and committed to client wellbeing
  • Working with Children Check for paid work or willing to obtain (mandatory)
Days/Hours
  • Sunday 8am to 10am
  • Alternate Monday 8am to 3:15pm
  • Tuesday 7am to 10am and active overnight 9pm to 7:30am
  • Alternate Wednesday active overnight 9pm to 7:30am
  • Thursday 3pm to 9:30pm
  • Friday 3pm to 9:30pm
  • Saturday 8am to 3:15pm
