Job Description

We are expanding our team in Katoomba and the Lower Blue Mountains region and would love to welcome a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join us in making a positive impact in our community.

We are open to applications from Occupational Therapists of all levels of experience who are looking for full-time or part-time roles.

In this role, you will:

  • Assess participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical levels of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardized assessments.
  • Interpret findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based.
  • Support and advise on adaptations to the environment, including home, school, work, and residential facilities.
  • Recommend the provision of Assistive Technology to assist participants with their functional limitations and promote independence.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas.
  • A desire to work in a fun, collaborative, and supportive environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • A genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
