We are seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead testing activities within a large-scale transformation program focused on risk remediation. The program involves modernising core business systems, integrating new applications, delivering a modern integration layer, and decommissioning legacy platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a program-wide test strategy aligned with project milestones and risk profiles.
  • Lead and manage a small test team covering functional, integration, data migration, non-functional, and user acceptance testing.
  • Coordinate testing across multiple concurrent projects, managing dependencies and sequencing effectively.
  • Define and manage test plans, entry/exit criteria, and acceptance measures.
  • Ensure traceability from requirements through to test cases and defect resolution.
  • Oversee test environment readiness, including data refreshes, configuration, and deployment schedules.
  • Collaborate with architects, analysts, and project managers to ensure full test coverage.
  • Facilitate defect triage and manage reporting of risks, issues, and progress to leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance standards, data governance, and legislative requirements.
  • Support UAT planning, coordination, and sign-off to ensure business confidence prior to go-live.
Highly desirable criteria
  • Experience in large-scale transformation programs, particularly in government or regulated sectors.
  • Familiarity with API-based and event-driven architectures.
  • Knowledge of non-functional testing approaches, including performance, security, and failover testing.
  • Experience in data migration, database remediation, and system decommissioning projects.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, HP ALM, or similar.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business groups.
Skills and experience
  • Demonstrated experience as a Test Manager or senior test lead on complex enterprise programs.
  • Strong capability in test strategy, planning, and execution across multi-stream environments.
  • Proven ability to manage concurrent testing streams and shared environments.
  • Experience working within compliance-driven environments requiring audit adherence.
  • Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on delivery focus.
