General Manager - Shared Services | MWG Mining

We've got a great opportunity in finance for someone to come in and lead the finance area in a Financial Controller / Finance Manager role for our diverse group of businesses in mining services, maintenance and accommodation. MWG Mining is a young and innovative company experiencing rapid growth.

The role will report directly to the Group CFO and be part of the Senior Leadership Team, and work across all levels of the business.

We're looking for someone who can quickly understand the business, embed in the current processes, and support the existing team. From there, there is great opportunities to continue to develop the finance area and be part of the strategic direction of the group.

The role will have responsibility for the management the financial initiatives and transactions of the company.

Key aspects of the role are:

  • Financial management (including management reporting and payroll)
  • Contract Management and Procurement
  • Understanding the group commercials and providing input into solutions for strategic direction

Core skills you'll need:

  • Finance focused - Cashflow forecasting, EOM reporting, Payroll activities, Customer and Supplier Management
  • Organisation focused - highly organised, detail-oriented and can thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • People focused - Engage with teams in person, and in operating locations
  • Qualifications - degree and professional membership to support your experience
