The Role

We are currently seeking an established Executive Director, Environment & Waste & Resource Recovery to manage this sector on a global basis. Multiple office locations are available for this role to be based, ideally based in Australia, Singapore, Middle East, India or UK.

You will play a central role in shaping the strategic trajectory of the Environment & Waste Sub Sector within the broader Infrastructure + Energy business.

Your responsibilities will encompass providing clear and comprehensive strategic direction, ensuring the successful management of the Environment & Waste sector's profit and loss on a global scale, fostering capability development and resource mobilization, and overseeing crucial client relationships.

Your leadership will be instrumental in maintaining alignment with SJ Group's vision and values, driving business growth through optimal project performance, client management, and effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Upholding SJ Group's ethical standards and code of conduct, you will lead by example, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

As an ideal candidate, you will have:

• 20+ years in the industry with proven success in Senior Management roles with a focus on environment/waste and resource recovery.
• Consulting experience highly regarded
• Well-developed strategic thinking, business development, and leadership skills.
• Expertise in managing large-scale projects, client relationships, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline; postgraduate and project management qualifications highly regarded.
• In-depth knowledge of industry standards, legislation, and market trends
• High level communication skills, including negotiating and resolving highly complex commercial, technical and people matters.
