HSEQ Adviser

Since 2007, the company has grown in industrial cleaning, vacuum excavation and liquid waste removal. We support civil contractors, industrial sites, local councils and infrastructure providers across Australia's East Coast, with a modern fleet and skilled crew.

We are looking for an HSEQ Adviser to support all operations. The successful candidate will take a diligent and pragmatic approach to ensuring clients and operational teams operate safely, while fostering a culture of safety, quality and environment. The role requires proactive and reactive engagement across front and back end of the business to meet demands and timeframes, and to contribute to long‑term growth.

With strong communication, you will liaise with key stakeholders to:

• Maintain a visible presence at locations and, as needed, with clients
• Develop knowledge of our industry, services and operations
• Carry out site visits / inspections and depot audits
• Manage incident investigations with the relevant state regulator
• Contribute to tenders and manage client pre‑qualifications
• Manage HSEQ management systems, policies, procedures, SWMS, risk assessments, VOCs and toolbox content
• Oversee incident reporting, investigation and corrective actions
• Liaise with insurers and the EPA for annual reporting and review
• Manage workers' compensation for injury, rehabilitation and claims
• Proactively assess and measure safety analytics to drive process improvement

Note: Frequent travel to all locations is required; a hybrid on‑site / work‑from‑home environment is offered for suitable candidates.

• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (minimum)
• Solid understanding of safety systems, standards, and ISO requirements
• Experience with HSEQ systems and compliance monitoring
• Proficiency in risk assessment and root cause analysis
• Background in construction, manufacturing or oil & gas is desirable
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Analytical and organized with high accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability to client software systems
• Proactive self‑starter; able to work independently and collaboratively
• Valid C‑Class Australian driver's license or equivalent; a truck license is advantageous
