OpportunityWe're recruiting for a Senior Supplier Risk Analyst to join our Insurance and Money Services team. You'll support the Supplier Risk and Assurance Manager and wider Outsourcing and Supply Chain Management team in protecting Tesco Insurance and Money Services from risks associated with third-party suppliers by developing and implementing robust supplier risk management frameworks.
This role supports in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, enhances operational resilience, and supports strategic decision-making through effective risk identification, assessment, and mitigation.
The Role- Evaluating potential and existing suppliers for financial, operational, geopolitical, and compliance risks.
- Conducting due diligence and risk assessments in line with Outsourcing and Supply Chain Management framework.
- Continuously monitoring news, financial data, and regulatory changes that may impact suppliers.
- Reporting risk findings to senior management and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Collaborating with procurement, legal, risk and compliance teams to address supplier issues.
- Establishing and maintaining supplier risk management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
- Serving as a point of contact for supplier risk issues and escalations.
- Preparing and presenting monthly risk reports to senior management.
- Risk management, experience or understanding of 3rd party or supplier management.
- Experience of working within established risk management systems.
- Robust stakeholder management skills required to work in cross functional teams to ensure risks are appropriately managed during onboarding and ongoing management of 3rd party suppliers, where there are often conflicting priorities across the teams.
- Ability to make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
- Proven data collection and analytical skills.
- Confident in providing insights into business dynamics.
- Strong reporting skills required to create relevant and effective risk reports that can be shared with senior stakeholders.
- Good stakeholder management skills and excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrable experience with identifying, assessing and prioritising managing.
