Overview

Nurse Unit Manager - Coronary/Critical Care — Full Time

Hobart Private Hospital is seeking a post graduate qualified Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to lead our Coronary Care / High Dependency ward. Your new ward is a 25 bed Critical Care Unit (CCU) for acute cardiac, medical and high dependency surgical care. With the largest private cardiology service in Tasmania, we manage cardiac emergencies and provide ongoing care in our dedicated coronary care area.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to the ward to align with the hospital\'s strategic direction, operational processes, budget and business direction.
  • Coordinate the delivery of nursing care that is evidence-based and ensure efficient and effective management of the area.
  • Manage human, financial and material resources and maintain optimal customer service levels.
About You
  • Specialised nursing experience in cardiology/critical care
  • Post Graduate Certificate or working towards in cardiology/critical care
  • Previous NUM experience or equivalent
  • Current Registration with AHPRA and Working with Vulnerable People check
  • Commitment to Quality Patient Care
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
  • Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
