Nursing Unit Manager

Are you a passionate and experienced nurse leader ready to make a meaningful impact in cardiac care? We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Nursing Unit Manager (NUM) to lead our Coronary Care Unit (CCU) in beautiful Hobart.
About the Role As the NUM of the Coronary Care Unit, you will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated cardiac nurses, ensuring the highest standard of patient-centred care is delivered. You will oversee daily operations, workforce planning, clinical overnagnce, and continuous quality improvement in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide effective clinical and operational leadership to the CCU team
- Oversee the coordination and delivery of safe, evidence-based cardiac nursing care
- Drive staff development, mentoring, and performance management
- Foster a culture of clinical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and senior leadership to optimise patient outcomes
About You
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration
- Minimum 5 years' post-graduate experience, with recent experience in coronary or critical care nursing
- Proven leadership or management experience in an acute care setting
- Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Postgraduate qualification in Cardiac Care or Critical care
