Senior Accountant, Business Services Tax Advisory

Grant Thornton Australia is seeking a Senior Accountant, Business Services Tax Advisory. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Sydney, New South Wales.
OverviewJoin a high-performing team delivering practical and commercial tax advice to privately held and family businesses across a broad range of industries. The team supports professional development through hands-on coaching and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement commercial and tax-efficient strategies, ensuring compliance with Australian tax laws and regulations.
- Research and analyse tax technical issues across a broad range of tax areas (Division 7A, tax residency, CGT concessions and rollovers, trust law, withholding tax, tax consolidation, loss testing, international tax, etc.).
- Build and maintain relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with partners and managers to deliver exceptional and pragmatic client service.
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Accounting, Law or other relevant qualification.
- Previous experience in business services or tax advisory services in a chartered accounting or law firm environment.
- Solid understanding of the Australian tax system, tax legislation, and different business structures.
- Strong research, analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
