Full-time position

Are you an experienced Employment Coach ready to take the next step in your career?

Do you bring deep frontline experience in supporting people with disability into meaningful employment?

Are you passionate about mentoring others and shaping service delivery from the ground up?

Can you lead by example while delivering high-quality, person-centered support?

This role is ideal for someone who has built strong foundations in employment services and is ready to expand their impact—supporting Participants with complex barriers, mentoring staff, and contributing to site performance. You will work closely with the Employment Service Area Manager to guide service delivery, support new and existing staff, and help drive outcomes that change lives.

This is a role for someone who leads through experience—through empathy, through initiative, and through action.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor a team of Employment Coaches to deliver high-quality, person-centered support.
  • Guide service delivery in collaboration with the Employment Service Area Manager.
  • Support Participants with complex barriers to achieve meaningful employment.
  • Contribute to site performance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide onboarding and development support to new staff, and foster collaborative practice across the team.
Ideal candidate
  • Extensive experience in employment services or a similar frontline role, with a strong track record of supporting people with disability into meaningful employment.
  • A deep understanding of challenges faced by Participants with complex barriers, with the ability to deliver tailored, person-centered support.
  • A natural ability to mentor and guide others, with experience supporting new staff and contributing to team development.
  • Confidence in implementing innovative case management strategies and employment-focused programs that lead to outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with Participants, colleagues, and community stakeholders.
  • A mature, proactive, solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Qualifications in Employment Services, Community Services, Disability Services or similar, or willingness to complete a formal qualification fully supported by Status as part of employment.
What you will bring
  • Proven frontline experience and readiness to take the next step in your career.
  • A passion for helping people overcome barriers and achieve employment goals.
  • Ability to support site performance through mentoring, program delivery, and collaborative practice.
  • A commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.
Benefits and about the employer
  • Salary and superannuation details (as above) and salary packaging options.
  • Acknowledgement as an Equal Opportunity Employer encouraging applications from women, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disabilities, LGBTIQ+ individuals, and those from non-English speaking backgrounds.
  • Employee benefits including a Performance reward system, additional paid leave opportunities, access to an Employee Assistance Program, a structured induction program, and ongoing development and training.
  • Support from a dedicated internal team for community connections, employer engagement, and on-the-job support.
