Overview

Works Supervisor - Construction and Bridges. This is a permanent full-time role in the Major Projects Division, based at Moruya Depot, with work at various locations across the Shire. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, controlling and monitoring construction and maintenance activities in civil works, bridges and marina structures, achieving a safe and well organised project.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, control and monitor construction and maintenance activities in civil works, bridges and marina structures.
  • Achieve a safe and well organised project.
  • Supervise and mentor work teams and contractors to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Monitor projects in construction and maintenance settings with relevant technical field skills.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Trade qualification relevant to construction.
  • Proven ability to monitor projects in construction and maintenance settings.
  • Experience with plant capabilities and outputs used in construction and maintenance activities.
  • Willingness to undertake physical labouring tasks associated with Council's maintenance and construction activities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, literacy, numeracy and computer skills.
  • Ability to safely undertake work at heights and over/in water.
