Base pay rangeA$220,000.00/yr - A$300,000.00/yr
Our client is a high-growth infrastructure and property development business, building and operating state-of-the-art data centres. This company is on an exciting growth path, with a strong pipeline of acquisitions, new developments, and significant debt and capital raising activities planned over the next few years. As they scale, they are seeking a commercially astute Financial Controller to lead the financial reporting and control function.
The Role:
As Financial Controller, you will be a key member of the finance leadership team, working closely with a high-calibre CFO and DCFO. You will lead a team of 12, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting and controls while supporting the business through its rapid expansion. This role will uplift team capability, driving process improvements, and supporting an ERP implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial reporting function, ensuring timely and accurate board and financial reporting.
- Provide accounting advice and financial insights on transactions, including acquisitions and capital projects.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage external audits, liaising with auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Support the implementation of a new ERP system, ensuring seamless integration and process alignment.
- Uplift capability, processes, and controls in the financial operations area.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
About You:
- Qualified accountant ACA with big 4 or large firm experience.
- Proven experience in financial reporting and controls within a high-growth, capital-intensive environment desirable (e.g., data centres, infrastructure, property development, or private equity-backed businesses).
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience.
- Experience advising on transactions, including M&A and capital raising.
- Experience with ERP implementations and driving finance process improvements desirable.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments.
- Full Australian working rights essential.
