Financial Controller

Our client is a leading multinational logistics company with a rich history spanning over 100 years. Renowned for their strong market reputation and diverse client base, they take pride in fostering a team-oriented culture and a dynamic, collaborative work environment.
The RoleYou will lead the finance department in Australia, reporting directly to a highly experienced MD as well as the Group CFO based offshore. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Take full ownership of financial and management reporting, including consolidated group reporting.
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process.
- Oversee cash flow management.
- Conduct in-depth margin analysis to optimise revenue and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including audits, statutory reporting, and tax obligations.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships, including auditors.
- Mentor and lead a small, experienced team.
- Drive ad hoc projects and financial analysis as needed.
To be considered for this Financial Controller role, you will ideally meet the following criteria:
- Qualified Accountant (CA, CPA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- 10+ years of experience leading finance teams.
- Extensive expertise in both financial control and FP&A.
- Proven track record of driving commercial outcomes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a team-first mentality.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, both within finance and externally.
- Experience reporting to an overseas group is advantageous but not essential.
- Industry experience is not required but would be beneficial.
