Client Service Officer Role

We are seeking a motivated and professional individual to join our team as a Client Service Officer at the Department of Justice QLD.

About the Role

This role will provide an opportunity to work in a dynamic and challenging environment, where you will be the first point of contact for telephone and counter enquiries relating to Queensland Civil & Administrative Tribunal (QCAT) jurisdictions and administrative duties.

Main Responsibilities
  • Represent QCAT: You will represent QCAT as the first point of contact for telephone, face-to-face, and email enquiries.
  • Provide Information: Provide accurate information to registry staff and Tribunal members in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Manage Client Needs: Effectively and efficiently manage the needs of clients and the general public by using appropriate questioning, problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
  • Procedural Information: Provide accurate and appropriate procedural information and application status updates to clients and the general public across a wide range of jurisdictions.
  • Daily Tasks: Prioritise and manage daily tasks in a fast-paced and high-volume environment to ensure client services standards and timeframes are met.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support as required by the Client Service Team Leaders and Managers.
  • Initiatives and Activities: Participate in and complete QCAT initiatives and activities to support the achievement of the QCAT business plan and strategy.

We offer flexible work arrangements, however, given operational requirements of this role, some flexible work options may be limited. This is a temporary role, and applications will be reviewed and considered when vacancies are identified.
