Maintenance Fitter - Day Shift | Tyrecycle

We're looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Fitter to join our team at Tyrecycle Lonsdale on a full-time basis.

This hands-on role is key to ensuring the continued reliability, performance, and safety of our plant and equipment. You'll play a crucial part in driving operational excellence through best practices in safety, environmental compliance, product quality, housekeeping, and equipment utilisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Promote and model safe working behaviours in alignment with Tyrecycle's OHS standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with SOPs and statutory obligations.
  • Proactively contribute to a high-performing team environment focused on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with operational requirements as needed.

About you:

  • Solid understanding of safe work practices and manual handling procedures.
  • A collaborative team player who's hands-on, dependable, and solutions-focused.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a practical mindset.
  • Electrical disconnect/reconnect licence (highly regarded but not essential).
