About the role

We are seeking a talented Senior Software Developer to join our team at 26 Degrees Global Markets. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects and contribute to the growth of our organisation. What you'll be doing

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and interpret business requirements
Design, develop, and implement efficient and scalable software applications
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
Troubleshoot and debug issues, and provide timely resolutions
Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, trends, and best practices in software development
Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software development processes

What we're looking for

A Python professional ready to pick up the required financial business domain, in which prior experience is a beneficial but not required. You'll be prepared to deliver small-scale services or features independently, while supporting & being supported in architectural decisions, code reviews, and prioritization decisions. Someone who is willing to have their voice heard, as we are eager to run at any good ideas from wherever they may come.

About the tech:

Other languages (ie. PHP or Java) at times, but not often
MySQL
DevOps built on Bitbucket, Docker, Tekton, ArgoCD all on Kubernetes through AWS
Small-service oriented

About you:

Strong culture fit with our young team
4+ years of experience in software development
Proficient in Python; Happy to explore in other languages as needed
Experience with relational databases and SQL
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
