Associate - Workers' Compensation at Hall & Wilcox – Newcastle, New South Wales

About the Role And Team

We have an opportunity for an Associate to join our thriving Statutory Insurance - Workers' Compensation practice, based in our Newcastle office. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years' post-admission experience in personal injury claims, specifically Workers' Compensation. This is a genuine growth role offering clear career progression within a supportive and nurturing environment. The NSW Statutory Insurance - Workers' Compensation section is a defendant insurance legal team with approximately 50 people across Sydney and Newcastle. This role will have the opportunity to work closely with partners and other team members across Sydney and Newcastle.

About You
  • Minimum three years' post-admission experience
  • Experience in personal injury space, specifically Workers' Compensation
  • Experience on the defendant side is ideal; candidates with a plaintiff background who want to move into a defendant practice will be considered
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as within a collaborative team
  • Clear, concise legal writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail
