We seek a passionate and dedicated Primary teacher to join our faith-based community. We're looking for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to nurturing the whole child—academically, spiritually, and emotionally.

About the Role

As a Primary Teacher, you'll be responsible for:

  • Creating a positive, engaging, and faith-centred learning environment.
  • Planning and delivering high-quality, differentiated lessons.
  • Fostering a love of learning and curiosity in our students.
  • Building strong, collaborative relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Integrating our school's Christian values into daily classroom life and curriculum.

Commencing on 16 January 2026, this position is full-time.

Relocation assistance is available.

Skills and experience

The successful candidate will bring a strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and pedagogical practice, and have a passion for teaching and learning.

The successful candidate will also be fully aligned with the Christian values and beliefs of Freshwater Christian College, and seek a role providing opportunities to utilise their talents and skills to make a difference in the lives of our students and the wider College community.

Essential qualifications and requirements
  1. Appropriate tertiary qualifications in teaching.
  2. Queensland College of Teachers Registration (or the ability to obtain).
  3. Be fully aligned with the values, virtues, and Christian beliefs of Freshwater Christian College.
  4. Able to affirm the College's Statement of Faith.
  5. Able to comply with College policies, procedures, codes of conduct, and training requirements, including those related to work health and safety, risk management, child protection, and confidentiality.
  6. Able to work with all members of the College community.
  7. A willingness to assist in extracurricular activities after normal working hours.
  8. Be legally permitted to work in Australia.
